Miss Universe, a global beauty pageant, always catches people’s attention. However, a particular Miss Universe 2022 contestant caught everyone’s attention with her bizarre outfit.

Anna Sueangam-iam, Thailand’s Miss Universe in 2022, chose a dress with a story. In honor of her parents, she wore a gown made from soft drink can pull tabs. The pull tabs represent the occupations of Anna’s father, who is a garbage collector, and her mother, who is a street sweeper.

The fashion diva shared the background of the dress she wore to the preliminary competition round on Instagram.
“The familiar surroundings of my childhood served as inspiration for this gown. Growing up with trash specialist guardians, my life as a kid was among heaps of trash and recyclables. She stated, “This one-of-a-kind gown was purposefully tailored using discarded and recycled materials, specifically the Can Tab, to demonstrate to the universe that what many people consider to be worthless actually possesses its own value and beauty.”

The official Miss Universe Instagram account commented, “From her empowering life story, the message is conveyed through this “Hidden Precious Diamond Dress,”” praising her choice of attire. This one-of-a-kind upcycled dress designed by Manirat was meticulously constructed using Swarovski crystals and recycled aluminum drink can pull tabs.
On January 15, the grand finale of the 71st Miss Universe competition will take place in New Orleans.
