Staff from a council in Ireland made the shocking discovery of finding a fully dressed skeleton believed to have been lying on a bed in an abandoned house for 20 years.

The refrigerator contained 2001-dated butter and skeleton remains from an Irish home, shocking the officers.

According to reports, the Republic of Ireland’s state police, the Gardai, were notified shortly after the discovery in Mallow, just yards from a pub.
While firefighters transported the bodies to the Cork University Hospital mortuary, detectives established a perimeter around the one-story house.

A postmortem was scheduled for last night by assistant state pathologist Dr. Margaret Bolster.

The reclusive individual was supposed to have moved to England, but the Garda do not suspect any wrongdoing.

According to Mallow Cllr, the location is one of two boarded-up abandoned homes on the “extremely busy” road that connects the town to the N20. Madden, Liam.

The fact that the body could have been there for twenty years without being discovered surprised him.

He went on to say, “I find it difficult to imagine.” However, it has occurred in other villages and towns where dead bodies have been found. It is a very sad reflection that no one noticed them or inquired about where they might be, if they are nearby,” he stated.

He added, “People have entered some of these boarded-up locations to sleep;” “Identification is a major issue right now, and it will take a while.” He stated, “Anyone could have done so.”

Dental records may prove the person’s identity, according to the investigation.

Officers planned to contact utility companies and conducted door-to-door inquiries to determine when the death occurred.
